What We Collect

• Blood glucose readings, timestamps, meal context, notes, and source labels for entries you create or import.
• Account and profile information such as sign-in email, authentication provider, display name, birth date, diabetes type, height, and weight.
• Preferences and settings such as glucose unit, target ranges, reminders, appearance settings, and subscription state.

How We Use Your Data

DiaNotes uses your data only to operate the app and provide requested features.

• Authenticate your account and keep your data available after sign-in.
• Store and display your glucose history across supported devices.
• Support Apple Health import and export when you explicitly grant permission.
• Provide settings, reminders, subscription features, and account management.

How We Store Your Data

DiaNotes stores account profiles and glucose records in Firebase services so your data can be retrieved after sign-in. Data is encrypted in transit and protected by provider security controls.

Some settings and health permissions also depend on Apple platform services on your device.

Apple Health and HealthKit

Apple Health access is optional. DiaNotes only reads or writes Blood Glucose samples after you grant permission in Apple Health.

• Imported HealthKit readings keep their original source label.
• Imported HealthKit readings are read-only inside DiaNotes.
• You can revoke Apple Health access at any time in the Health app under Sharing and Apps.

Data Sharing

DiaNotes does not sell or rent your personal data or health data.

• We share data only with service providers needed to operate DiaNotes, such as Apple platform services and Firebase infrastructure.
• We do not use your data for third-party advertising, cross-app tracking, or data brokerage.
• Apple Health data is used only to provide health and logging features in the app.

Your Choices and Rights

• You can export your glucose history from DiaNotes settings.
• You can delete your DiaNotes account and data stored by DiaNotes from within the app.
• You can revoke Apple Health permissions at any time in the Health app.

Subscriptions

Premium subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period. You can manage or cancel subscriptions in your Apple ID account settings.
